Why Not Guitar is a guitar teaching company located in Derby, England, United Kingdom. Our aim is to help all levels of guitarists become the musicians they want to be. Our instructor Bartek is very passionate and knowledgeable about guitar and music in general. Providing quality instructions in a friendly and supportive environment is the least we can offer during the lessons. We currently have private lessons, group classes, and tabs as well as video tutorials that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student available. Whether you are just starting out or looking to expand your skillset, Why Not Guitar is here to help you reach your goals.

Welcome to my page! 🤘

I’m Bart and I'm a guitar (in my opinion the most beautiful thing in the entire universe😂) teacher🎸. I’ve been playing guitar since I can remember but about 8 years ago I realised I am not only very passionate about my own guitar playing but I’m also very passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills with other people. Therefore, I decided to start giving private lessons.

Since then, I have worked with a large number of students of very different ages - varying from young kids (even 5/6/7 years old), slightly older kids (8-12 years old), teenagers (13-18 years old) and adults. This gave me an experience of working with absolute beginners who were just starting out, players who have played a little bit in the past (too many years ago😂) and needed a little refresher, and advanced players who were looking to get their playing to another level.

Over the years, I have developed my own guitar teaching system which lays down sound foundations that are very useful in any genre of music. The core ideas and skills that are being worked on in the system remain the same for everyone however, I always try to tweak bits and adjust the songs/exercises we learn accordingly to student’s individual needs and taste of music.
